Stripe S700 device registration in Mohid 

What this guide helps you do 

Customers can order a Stripe Reader S700 from Stripe, then register the device in Mohid so the MPM software (Mohid app) is automatically downloaded to the reader. After the app installs, you enter a Device Key (MPM Pro Key) to sign in. 

Confidentiality - Pairing code and Device Key are sensitive. Do not share them in public channels.

Before you start (prerequisites) 

  • S700 access is enabled for your Mohid account

  • Stripe is connected in Mohid 

  • S700 reader is delivered, powered on, and connected to the internet (Wi‑Fi or Ethernet) 

  • You have Admin access in Mohid dashboard 

  • You are physically with the reader (to generate the pairing code)

Terms you’ll see 

  • Pairing code / Registration code: generated on the S700 and used to register the reader in Mohid. 

  • Device Key (MPM Pro Key): generated in Mohid Addons and entered on the reader to log in.

Setup steps 

Step 1 — Order the S700 in Stripe 

  1. Sign in to Stripe Dashboard. 

  1. Open the Terminal shop and order Stripe Reader S700. 

  1. Wait for delivery.

Step 2 — Connect the reader to the internet (Stripe landing page) 

  1. Power on the reader. 

  1. On first use, the Stripe welcome/landing screen appears. 

  1. If the reader is not connected, it prompts you to connect to Wi‑Fi or Ethernet. 

  1. Connect the reader to the internet. 

Expected result: The reader shows a connected network and stays online.

Step 3 — Get the S700 registration (pairing) code 

  1. On the reader, swipe right from the left edge to open Settings. 

  1. Enter the admin passcode. 

  1. Open Admin options. 

  1. Tap Generate pairing code. 

  1. Copy the pairing code shown on the screen. 

Expected result: The reader displays a pairing code you can enter in Mohid.

Step 4 — Register the S700 in Mohid 

  1. In Mohid, go to Settings → Integration → Payment Gateway. 

  1. Make sure Payment Gateway is set to Stripe. 

  1. Confirm the Stripe Account ID and Stripe Location ID shown are for the masjid/location where the reader will be used. 

  1. Click + Add S700 Reader. 

  1. Enter the pairing code in S700 Reader Registration Code. 

  1. Click Save. 

Expected result: Mohid registers the reader, and Stripe starts installing the Mohid app on the device.

Step 5 — Keep the reader powered on for app download 
  1. Keep the reader powered on and connected to the internet. 

  1. The Mohid app downloads automatically after registration.

Step 6 — Get the Device Key (MPM Pro Key) in Mohid 

  1. In Mohid, click the Addons icon (top right). 

  1. Scroll to Subscribe MPM Pro – Mobile App (Android). 

  1. Click the + icon to subscribe. 

  1. Copy the MPM Pro Key shown in the green banner. 

Expected result: A green banner displays the Device Key (MPM Pro Key).

  1. On the Mohid app landing page, enter the Device Key. 

  1. Tap Submit to log in. 

Expected result: The Mohid home screen loads and the device is ready for donations.

Notes 
  • On the Mohid app landing page, the Settings (gear) icon lets the user change the internet connection if needed. 

  • If the reader does not show the Mohid landing page after registration, confirm internet connectivity and re-check the pairing code and Save step.

Troubleshooting (support-first checks) 

  • Mohid app doesn’t appear after registration 

  • Confirm the reader is online (Wi‑Fi/Ethernet). 

  • Re-check Step 4: Stripe Account ID + Location ID match the intended masjid/location. 

  • Pairing code was entered but registration fails 

  • Carefully re-enter the code (common issue: missed character). 

  • Generate a fresh pairing code and try again. 

  • Device Key isn’t visible in Mohid 

  • Confirm you subscribed under Subscribe MPM Pro – Mobile App (Android) (Step 6).
