Login to Google Tag Manager Account
- Create Container
- Account Name > Enter masjid name
- Container Name > Insert online donation link (without https)
- Target Platform > select Web > click Create
Click on the Container name as highlighted below
Login to MOHID Admin Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Donation > Scroll to Google Tag Manager Settings
- Paste the copied head in the 'Head Script'
- Paste the copied body script in 'Body Script'
Go to Google Tag Manager
Go to Variable
1- New > click begin setup > data layer variable > data layer variable name (type > amount) > untitled variable > amount
2- New > click begin setup > data layer variable > data layer variable name (type > program) > untitled variable > program
3- New > click begin setup > data layer variable > data layer variable name (type > transaction_id) > untitled variable > transaction_id
Go to Trigger
1- New > begin setup > select custom event > Event name donation_success > this trigger fires on - all custom events > Trigger name "donation success trigger" > save
Go to Tag
1- Tag configuration > begin setup > select Google Analytics > GA4 events
2- Select trigger > event parameters > name donation_amount > value > select amount
Add > event name > donation_program > select program
Add > event name > donation_transaction_id> select transaction_id
Select trigger >donation success trigger > save
Submit > publish
- Click on Preview
- Paste the link
- Click Connect (this check is important to ensure that all variables are connected correctly)
